The results of the Gulf teams’ matches in the fifth round of Qatar 2022 qualifiers
The teams of Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Iraq participated in the fifth round of the final Asian qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
And their results were as follows; the Saudi green, deservedly, maintained the top spot in the second group, unbeaten, after a negative draw against the Australian Kangaroo in Sydney, in a confrontation in which Muhammad Al-Rubaie, the third goalkeeper of the Saudi team, was brilliant, bringing Al-Akhdar to the thirteenth point, and advancing an important step towards the World Cup.
While the match between the Omani team and its Chinese counterpart, in the same group, ended in a positive 1-1 draw, in a meeting in which the Chinese Dragon advanced, then Amjad Al-Harthy scored the draw goal for the Omani Red, so that the Omani team was ranked fourth in the group.
In the first group, the Emirati white lost 0-1 against South Korea, while the Rafidain Lions team tied against Syria with a goal each. Thus, Iraq occupies fourth place, followed by the UAE team in fifth place.
