FIFA chooses the UAE to host the FIFA Club World Cup
The Swiss president, Gianni Infantino, announced yesterday the selection of the United Arab Emirates to host the FIFA Club World Cup in early 2022.
The choice of the UAE to host this world championship embodies the great value of Asian football, as well as confirms the success achieved by the United Arab Emirates after hosting 4 previous editions, and enhances its permanent ability to achieve excellence.
Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation and First Vice President of the International Federation, congratulated the UAE on this choice, especially the UAE Football Association and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, praising the spirit of work that created international confidence in the UAE’s eligibility to host the next World Cup.
He stressed that the AFC puts all its capabilities alongside the UAE Federation to support the continuation of the successful legacy on such occasions, wishing all the work team success to bring the global event out in the best picture.
