The owner of the first goal in the Gulf tournaments … the death of Bahraini football star Ahmed Salmeen

The Bahrain Football Association mourned the former Bahraini football star Ahmed Yousef Salmeen, who passed away today.

Ahmed Salmeen, who represented the Bahrain national team on several occasions, scored the first goal in the Gulf Cup tournaments at the opening of the first session in 1970 against Qatar, which was held in Bahrain.

The late star is considered the first Bahraini player to organize an official retirement festival in 1977. He is the father of the former Bahraini football star Mohammed Salmeen and the Director of national teams in the Bahrain Football Association.
