UAE’s Mabkhout … The Golden Scorer

Ali Mabkhout, the striker of the UAE national team, made the path to stardom and put himself among the scorers of the most valuable championship of the Gulf after he managed to win the title of top scorer of Gulf Cup 22 and the top scorer of Gulf Cup 24, thus becoming the fourth placer in the list of best scorers of the Gulf, equal to Mansour Moftah, the player of Qatar team

Mabkhout, 29 years old, began his stardom in the Gulf Championships after former UAE coach Mahdi Ali put him as the head of the Emirati White Squad at the Gulf Cup 21 in Bahrain in 2013, through which he managed to score two goals in the championship achieved by United Arab Emirates.

In the next tournament, Mabkhout was on a date to achieve his first personal titles in the Gulf championship in 2014 in Saudi Arabia when he scored 5 goals, including 4 goals in the group stage. United Arab Emirates won the ticket to qualify for the semi-finals before he scored his fifth goal in the third place match achieved by the Emirates.

Mabkhout returned to achieve the same personal title, with the same score also in the Gulf Cup 24 in Qatar, to replace his record in the Gulf Championship 23 in which he was only able to score a single goal, to finally register his name as a historical goal scorer for his country in the tournament with 13 goals, and among the top scorers of the Gulf Championship.

The top scorer list for the championship includes Kuwaiti Jassem Yaqoub with 18 goals, followed by Saudi Majed Abdullah and Iraqi Hassan Saeed with 17 goals, Kuwaiti Faisal Al-Dakhil and Jassim Al-Huwaidi in third place with 14 goals, and Qatari Mansour Moftah and Emirati Ali Mabkhout fourth with 13 goals.
