Al-Na’ash: We got better against Iraq

Yemeni coach Sami Al-Na’ash praised the team’s performance at the press conference following the match.

He said: “With the return of injured goalkeeper Mohamed Ibrahim, the team showed balance in performance. We do not deny that the Iraqi team was lacking player, but there is a marked improvement in the performance of the players. Playing continuous games helped the players raise the level of their performance.”

He added: “The games in the Gulf Cup are different and strong, and contributed to raise the performance of the players, which will help us in the games ahead of the Asian Cup qualifiers.”

“Qatar and Iraq are the strongest candidates,” he said.
