Yahya Al Shehri: Everyone is ready for the Gulf Championship

Saudi team captain Yahya Al-Shehri said that Al-Akhdar is coming to compete despite the circumstances they went through during the preparation, most notably the absence of Al-Hilal players and some injuries.

“The Gulf Championship is important for all teams, and through our Asian qualifiers, we have seen there is a great development in all teams and we are here with a new coach in order to achieve our ambitions,” he said in the conference before facing Kuwait.

On the preparations and their impact on Al-Akhdar’s ambitions, Al-Shehri said: “We are here to compete despite some conditions like the absence of Al-Hilal players and some injuries, but the coach depends on everyone.”
