Yemen and Iraq are the first arrivals to Doha

Yemeni and Iraqi teams arrived on Wednesday to participate in the 24th Gulf, which will be held from 26 November to 8 December.

The Yemeni team arrived in Doha after they played two encounters in the Bahraini capital Manama against Palestine and Singapore and came out with a win and a loss in the fourth group of Asian qualifiers.

In its ninth appearance in the Gulf championships, Yemen hopes to give a better picture than the past versions and cross the group stage.

The Iraqi team came from Jordan after playing two encounters against Iran and Bahrain in Manama for Group C with a win and a draw.

Iraq hopes to achieve the title this time which was absent from the treasury of the lions of Iraq for 31 years.
