Abdullah Al-Mayouf…the decisive goalkeeper of the Saudi football leader

One of the best goalkeepers in Saudi football and Al-Hilal Club, who was his savior in most of the difficult times. Why not, when he scored the last penalty kick in the King’s Cup final against Al-Wahda last May 12 (2023), so Al-Zaeem won 7/6, before moving in the same year to Al-Ittihad Club.

He is the star Saudi goalkeeper, Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Mayouf, who was born on January 23, 1987 in Riyadh. He started his career with Al-Hilal, and appeared for the first time in 2004 against Al-Ansar, and the irony is that he came as a substitute in his first participation for the star Sami Al-Jaber, after the expulsion of goalkeeper Ali Jabali, and after that his simple participation continued. He was a substitute for the giant Mohammed Al-Deayea when he was injured.

Al-Mayouf stayed with Al-Hilal from 2004 to 2007, then he moved to Al-Ahly Club, with whom he spent a golden period from 2007 to 2016, during which he participated in 78 matches, scored a goal, and won 9 championships. He returned in August 2016 to Al-Hilal after 9 years with Al-Ahly, and continued playing with it until last September (2023), during which he participated in 149 matches and scored a decisive goal.

At the international level, Al-Mayouf was part of the Saudi Green squad in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.
