Roy Pinto: We did well against Qatar and our goal is to build a team for the future

A press conference was held at eleven thirty in the morning, Iraqi time, in the conference hall of the Manawi Pasha Hotel by Kuwait national team coach Roy Pinto, who will precede the confrontation between the Kuwaiti national team and the UAE national team tomorrow, and he commented, saying: “Preparations are under way; the time was short, but we will present the required level.”

And about offensive solutions during tomorrow’s important match: We performed well, we tried to keep up with Qatar, the two goals came from mistakes, we improved in the second half, but we suffer from scoring problems, and during training we solve this problem. The goals will come as long as we create opportunities.

And about the importance of the tournament in Azraq’s career: It’s a good question. We are working on building a team for the future. We have many players between 21 and 22 years old who are competing in a tournament for the first time. This does not mean that we will not offer anything, but the main goal is to gain experience. The tournament is difficult for everyone and cannot be predicted.

And about the possibility of summoning new players, including Badr Al-Mutawa: It is natural that we do not talk about choices. We are working on a project for the future and relying on a young average age.

Player Faisal Zayed said: “We are preparing well, and we hope to achieve a positive result.”

And by asking the player, Faisal Zayed, about the importance of the Emirates meeting for the players, he said: “The UAE is a good team; they have a professional league; we need sporting stability in Kuwait; the technical staff and the federation are in a new suit; and God willing, with time we will gain experience.”
