With Gulf participation… Today, the FIFA Club World Cup “UAE 2021” kicks off
The 18th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup “UAE 2021”, which begins this evening in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi, will witness the participation of three Arab clubs for the second time in history, Al-Ahly of Egypt, Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia and the UAE league champion Al-Jazira Club.
The Club World Cup 2019 edition previously included Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, Esperance of Tunisia and Al Sadd of Qatar. Al Jazira will participate in the opening match of the tournament against Tahiti champion Perai at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, while the second match will bring together the Egyptian Al Ahly and Mexico’s Monterrey teams next Saturday evening at Al Nahyan Stadium in Al Wahda Club. The third match will bring together the winner of the opening match and the Saudi Al Hilal team, with the winner of this confrontation going to the semi-final against Chelsea.
The winner of Al-Ahly of Egypt and Monterrey of Mexico will meet the Brazilian Almeras in the second semi-final match, while the final will be held on the 12th of this month at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

Al Jazeera Club
Al-Jazira club won three league titles, the most recent of which was the 2021-2022 season, and three copies of the President’s Cup, in addition to being fourth in the FIFA Club World Cup in 2017.
Al-Ahly Club of Egypt
Al-Ahly club of Egypt won the title of the most winning club in the world with a score of 144 championships, including 24 continental championships, and the Century Club was founded in 1907
They won 48 titles in the Egyptian Cup and the Super Cup, and the Century Club won the 2021 African Champions League title, the tenth title in the competition, after defeating the South African club Kaizer Chiefs by three goals to none in Casablanca, Morocco.
They scored their second consecutive appearance in the Club World Cup, where they succeeded in his 2020 participation in obtaining third place after defeating the Brazilian club Palmeiras on penalties.
Al Hilal Saudi Club
Al Hilal Saudi Club has won 17 league titles and 33 local cup wins. It is one of the most title-winning clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Al Hilal also held the AFC Champions League title. This came after beating Pohang Steelers in the final at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh. Al Hilal participated in the Club World Cup in 2019 and won fourth place after losing to Monterrey on penalties.
It is worth noting that the UAE capital will host the FIFA Club World Cup for the fifth time after the 2009, 2010, 2017, and 2018.
