Gulf championship holder hosts Malaysia

It has been decided that the Bahrain national football team will compete in an international friendly match with the Malaysian national team on May 28 in Bahrain.

This game will be preceded by a meeting between Bahrain and Ukraine in Ukraine on May 23. These matches are part of Bahrain team’s preparations to complete the remainder of the double qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.

The Bahraini team is ranked first in Group C with nine points, behind leaders Iraq with 11 points, followed by Iran with six points.
