Bahraini League: A collective stumble for the leading teams
Al-Riffa Club maintained its top spot in the Bahraini League despite its 0-0 draw with its counterpart Al-Hidd in the thirteenth round of competitions, which witnessed a collective faltering of the leading teams.
Al-Riffa now has 26 points and has a postponed match, putting it ahead by two points over Al-Khalidiya, the second-placed team, which also tied 0-0 with Al-Muharraq III in the top of the round’s matches, and the match with Manama also ended with the same result.
Sitra achieved a valuable victory over Al-Ahly with the goal of Abdul-Wasi Al-Matari (90 + 4) to advance to fifth place, while Al-Shabab succeeded in defeating Al-Najma with two goals scored by Matheus Eduardo (2 and 65) versus a single goal that came from Florin Pascal (84 from a penalty kick).
