The Asian Cup announces the implementation of semi-automated offside technology in the Asian Cup Qatar 2023

The Asian Football Confederation announced that the referees of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023-2024 matches will be able to apply the semi-automated offside system in all 51 matches of the tournament being held in Doha, during the period from January 12 to February 10.

This came after it was successfully applied starting from the quarter-finals during the last edition, and thus the AFC is the first continental federation to apply this technology at the level of national team tournaments.
