Al Sadd qualifies for the final of the Emir of Qatar Cup

Al-Sadd succeeded in qualifying for the final match of the 2023 Emir Cup for the fifty-first edition, after crossing Al-Shahaniya 5-1 in the meeting that brought them together at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Al-Duhail Sports Club.

With this great victory, Al-Sadd stopped Al-Shahaniya’s journey in the championship, which excluded Al-Wakra and then Al-Gharafa, so that Al-Sadd set a date with the winner from facing Al-Sailiya and Al-Arabi.

The Spanish Santi Cazorla scored for Al Sadd in the 18th and 33rd minutes (from the penalty mark), the Moroccan Ayoub Al Kaabi in the 27th minute, and the Algerian Baghdad Bou Najah in the 89th and (90 + 5) minutes, while the Senegalese Ibrahima Jay scored the only goal for Al Shahania after 6 minutes of the start of the second half.

The first half came with full control of Al-Sadd over the course of the game, and Al-Sadd tightened its control over the midfield, attacking Al-Shahaniya with all force, and it had what it wanted to advance by three and miss some other opportunities. Al-Sadd had no significant danger to Saad Al-Sheeb’s goal except from a single ball before the end of the first half.
